"Teddy's Hospital" - without fear in the doctor's room

On the occasion of April 7 - the World Health Day, the National Alliance of People with Rare Diseases, PARK MALL Stara Zagora with the assistance of the Faculty of Medicine in Stara Zagora and Association Samaritans organize an event for children - "Teddy's Hospital".You can find the "Teddy's Hospital" on 9 and 10.04.2011, from 12.00 to 15.00 hours in PARK MALL Stara Zagora. Medical students will become doctors caring for the health of their plushy patients who will be accompanied by their owners. The children themselves will explain the complaints of their plushy toys and go to "pharmacy" to buy the needed pills. The kids will also have the opportunity to receive advice relating to healthy eating and good hygiene. Besides the traditional orthopedic, ophthalmologist and surgeon children can become familiar with speech therapist, physical therapist and psychologist. The "doctors" will respond to any questions asked by the parents. That will be possible thanks to the multidisciplinary team of the Unit for early psychosocial intervention to Samaritans Association, which will examine in the "Teddy's Hospital".

The event will be аccompanied by the songs of the children musical group "Zvezdopad"and "Margaritkite" and the small gymnasts from Sports Club Gymnastics will present this wonderful sport - a combination of physical strength, flexibility and coordination. At the same time, Teddy will ask questions to the smaller players and will give prizes.

"Teddy's Hospital" is an international project for children between 3 and 7 years, organized by medical students in different countries around the world - Norway, UK, Australia and others. In the form of games and fun kids are talking about their health problems. This communication allows to reduce the anxiety associated with visiting doctors or hospitals and contribute to improving the child's health. Children have the opportunity to be an active part in consultation with the doctor.
